Parallel Justice provides assistance to people who have experienced a crime after July 1, 2006 in the city of Burlington.

It is not necessary to report the crime to the police to receive these services.

We help victims regardless of whether a perpetrator is ever caught or prosecuted.

What we can do

Victim Fund/Resource Bank:  You can receive financial or in-kind assistance with certain crime-related needs and expenses. 

Community Resources and Referrals:  We can refer you to programs in the community that can help you, or help you access resources that are available in Burlington.

Parallel Justice Commission:  We can give you the opportunity to share your experience with State and/or City officials about how the crime affected you and the barriers you may have faced afterward in working with agencies or the criminal justice system.

Restorative Processes are also available to victims through the Restorative Justice Program at the Burlington Community Justice Center.
